The Fv434 REME Fitters Vehicle

Not only is the 434 a support vehicle for the 43' series of vehicles, it was also designed to be able transport and lift components for the Chieftain. To help achieve this the 434 has been built with a large cargo area which can easily accommodate a full 43' power pack, or a Chieftain engine. Not only can it carry these vital parts, the 434 has its own HIAB crane, allowing it to replace these componants in the field. If it isn't suitable to repair a disabled vehicle, the 434 is quite happy to tow a 432 to a workshop. This is capable due to its lower geared final drives.
